Midland police reported a pedestrian accident near the intersection of Culver in Midland on February 3. The collision took place around 7:05 p.m. on Golf Course Road towards the said intersection.
According to the authorities, a Red Toyota Tundra traveling west on Golf Course Road struck a pedestrian, identified as 51-year-old David Prousser. The pedestrian was in the roadway reportedly wearing dark-colored clothing which made it difficult for the driver of the Tundra to see him. This led to the vehicle-pedestrian collision due to which the victim was fatally injured. Prousser was rushed to Midland Memorial Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated by the authorities. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision. The driver of the Tundra was released, while the investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
