51-Year-Old Man Died In A Fatal Crash In Flint (Flint, MI)

Michigan State Police responded to a fatal crash on Saturday, Nov. 4, on Pasadena Avenue and Thornton Avenue around 8:19 p.m. 

According to the Flint Township Police Department, Lt. Matt Vanlente, a 51-year-old Flint resident, was in his wheelchair on the roadway when he was hit by a black Dodge Durango traveling east on Pasadena. 

The driver stopped before fleeing the scene but did not provide any aid to the man. 

According to Vanlente, the 51-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene despite life-saving measures. 

The Flint Police Department, Mount Morris Township Police Department, and Flint Township Police Department assisted at the crash scene.

Anyone with any information regarding the crash is urged to contact Detective Tanner Beckwith at the Flint Township Police Department at 810-600-3250. 

The crash is being investigated.
