According to the Huntington Beach Police Department, a fatal crash was reported on Monday morning in Huntington Beach. Officials confirmed that one person died due to the hit-and-run accident.
Authorities stated that the collision occurred on Beach Boulevard, north of Knoxville Avenue. A victim in the roadway was struck by a moving vehicle. The driver of the vehicle fled from the scene of the accident.
The victim was pronounced dead at the spot of the wreck. No other insights including the identity of the deceased person have been determined yet.
The cause of the accident has not been released. The crash continues to be investigated by the HBPD.
