The New Braunfels Police Department reported a motor vehicle accident on Sunday. The officials confirmed that one person died in the accident. According to the officials, the deceased victim was identified as 51-year-old Jose Medrano Perez of Plantersville.
Around 2:40 p.m., the crash happened at SH 46 West and T-Bar-M Drive. A 16-year-old from Mexico has been charged with intoxication manslaughter after a head-on collision killed a man and injured four other people. The vehicles involved in the crash a red Ford Explorer and a blue Honda Pilot had crashed head-on, with seven injured people.
The events leading to the collision are not yet known. The authorities are still investigating the cause of the fatal crash. It is unknown whether alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision.
