According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, a motor vehicle accident occurred in San Juan on Sunday. The crash happened on Caesar Chavez Road south of Minnesota Road at around 8:43 p.m.
According to the investigators, a Chevrolet Silverado and a 51-year-old were involved in the collision. The officials stated that the driver of the Chevrolet lost control of the vehicle and veered off the roadway.
51-year-old Gerardo Medina was identified as the driver of the Chevrolet who suffered significant injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the accident.
