The California Highway Patrol reported a hit-and-run accident in Spring Valley on Thursday. The accident occurred on Jamacha Boulevard, east of Lamplighter Village Drive at around 9:56 p.m.
According to the officials, a woman was walking north on Jamacha Boulevard when she was hit by a red SUV. The woman was then hit by another vehicle which was described as a silver sedan. Both vehicles did not stop after hitting the woman.
The victim was fatally injured and pronounced dead at the scene. Her identity has not been disclosed but the authorities have reported that she was 50 years old.
The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated at this time. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision. There are no other details available at this time.
