The Texas Department of Public Safety reported a multi-vehicle collision on Friday. The accident occurred on Highways 7 and 77 at around 3:53 p.m.
According to the officials, a Fiat 500 was heading north on the highway when it hydroplaned and entered the southbound lane. This caused it to crash into a Lexus RX.
The driver of the Fiat, 50-year-old Sherrier Holt, was thrown out of the car due to the impact and incurred fatal injuries. The passenger in the Fiat was also pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Lexus, 41-year-old Michelle Coy, incurred fatal injuries and was pronounced dead.
Two other people were injured in the collision but are expected to live.
The fatal crash is still being investigated at this time. There are no other details available.
