In a tragic multi-vehicle accident on Wednesday evening in Frederickson, a rider on a stolen motorcycle lost his life after disregarding a red light. The collision occurred at the intersection of the fatal crash, just east of Joint Base Lewis-McChord.
The man was critically injured and was rushed to a local hospital for treatment. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead. The identity of the man has not been disclosed at this time.
Law enforcement reports indicate that the rider had been travelling eastbound at high speed, maneuvering recklessly through traffic. Tragically, he ran a red light at the intersection, colliding with a car making a left turn.
Further investigation revealed that the motorcycle had altered license plates and had been reported stolen from the Tacoma area.
