50-year-old John Carrier died in a four-vehicle crash (Lake Charles, LA)

On Saturday night, a four-vehicle accident claimed life of 50-year-old John Carrier, a Lake Charles man, at the intersection of Prien Lake Road and Ryan Street.

According to reports, officers actively responded to the crash scene at around 8:40 p.m. Officials mentioned that a 2016 GMC Sierra was eastbound on Prien Lake Road and it hit a 2011 Chevrolet Cruz which was southbound on Ryan Street. As a result of the collision, the Cruz was pushed into another vehicle which was then pushed into another vehicle, causing a chain reaction.

On arrival, authorities declared John Carrier, the driver of the Chevrolet Cruz deceased. On the other hand, the driver of the GMC Sierra escaped from the scene. The Lake Charles Police Department Traffic Division was called to the scene to conduct investigation.

The incident remains under active review.
