The Victorville Police Department had previously reported a pedestrian accident on Thursday. The accident occurred at the intersection of D Street and Fourth Street at around 9:02 p.m.
According to the officials, a man and a vehicle were involved in a collision. The man had been waling north across D Street when he was struck by a vehicle. The car had been heading west in the number two lane.
The man was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. The officials have since identified the victim as 50-year-old Humberto Flores-Torres.
The driver of the other vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. The fatal crash is still being investigated by the authorities.
