According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, a multi-vehicle accident occurred in Edinburg on Monday afternoon.
The crash happened at the intersection of Sunflower Road on Highway 107.
According to the Police, a Jeep Grand Cherokee and a Chevrolet Silverado were involved in the collision.
The driver of the Jeep was identified as 50-year-old Daniel Luna who suffered significant injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Chevrolet suffered injuries and was transported to the hospital for treatment.
Police are yet to confirm whether drugs, alcohol, or reckless driving was the factor involved in the crash.
No additional information regarding the fatal crash was provided by the officials.
