A 14-year-old boy is accused of causing a fatal crash on State Route 7 in Spanaway on Sunday. The multi-vehicle accident occurred around 2:55 p.m. near 211th Street Court East.
The accident involved a stolen 2021 Kia Sportage driven by a teenager. The Kia was reportedly speeding when it struck a car attempting a U-turn across all lanes. The driver of the second vehicle was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. He has since been identified as 50-year-old Christopher J. Hall.
A 50-year-old woman in Hall’s car was transported to St. Joseph Medical Center, while the 14-year-old was taken to Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital with serious injuries. Both vehicles were totalled, and the investigation is ongoing. Charges are pending.
