Authorities identified 5-year-old Rilee McGraw, of Deville, La., as the girl who lost her life following a traffic collision on Sunday at RV Park in Bridge City.
As per the initial information, the fatal crash took place in the 800 block of LaPointe Street just before 5 p.m. The preliminary investigation revealed that Rilee McGraw was riding a small battery powered dirt bike when she drove into the path of a pickup truck and got hit. On arrival, emergency crews rushed the young girl to CHRISTUS ST. Elizabeth where she was later declared dead.
Reports further revealed that a 31-year-old Georgia man was leaving the RV Park driving a 2015 GMC pickup truck going on the paved portion of the road when McGraw traveled into his path. At this time, officers have not stated filing any charges in the case. No other details are made available.
The crash remains under review.
