The Texas Department of Public Safety reported a multi-vehicle accident occurred on the 900 block of Highway 87 on Monday. The officials confirmed that five people were killed in the accident. According to the officials, the deceased victims were not identified.
The Kendall County Sheriff’s Office and the Kern County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene which had a portion of Highway 87 blocked for hours. The cause for the crash was that the driver of a small white car headed north disregarded a no-passing zone and struck a black car near the centre stripe in the 900 block of Highway 87.
All four people in the white car and the driver of the black car died in the crash. None of their identities have been released. The authorities are still investigating the cause of the fatal crash.
