Pierce County officials reported a motor vehicle accident in Puyallup in the early hours of January 14. The accident occurred on State Route 512 near Puyallup’s South Hill.
According to the officials, the driver was 29-year-old Kiarra Monaghan, driving with four passengers, including two 11-year-old girls. The speeding vehicle slammed into a concrete pillar and burst into flames. One of the young girls was ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced dead on the scene, as were the four others in the vehicle.
The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated by the authorities. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision. There are no other details available at this time.
