According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, a motor vehicle crash was reported on Monday evening in Buna.
Officials confirmed that five people were injured due to the accident.
Authorities stated that the collision occurred on Highway 96 at Business Highway 96.
An SUV driven by 29-year-old Geneva Carrell was stopped at a stop sign.
Carrell still pulled onto the highway despite a northbound 2019 Honda passenger car coming that way.
The Honda was driven by 39-year-old Brent Williford.
The SUV collided with the Honda passenger car.
The drivers of both the cars and their passengers aged 2,4 and 7 were transported to St. Elizabeth Hospital via ambulance.
Other details pertaining to the wreck have not been revealed yet.
The crash continues to be investigated by the TPD.
