In a tragic accident last Wednesday, a 49-year-old man, identified as Michael Campbell, lost his life in a motorcycle collision. The multi-vehicle accident took place in the 4700 block of Weber Road near Lamont Street.
Traffic officers determined that Campbell was travelling between two lanes while heading north on Weber Road. He collided with an SUV, which was making an eastward turn into the 4000 block of Lamont Street.
Campbell was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. The SUV driver, who remained at the scene, was not found at fault. The officials have confirmed that Campbell’s speed played a significant role in the fatal crash.
