On Tuesday, a 49-year-old man, from Visalia, died after being struck by a vehicle on Bardsley Avenue.
As per the initial information, the fatal auto-pedestrian crash took place a little before 6:30 p.m. on the on-ramp to Highway 99. The early reports showed that the man ran directly into the path of a car and got struck. The pedestrian suffered major injuries and was declared dead at the scene by the officials.
The identity of the deceased will be revealed once the next of kin is notified. According to the officials, drugs and alcohol were not involved in the accident. No other details are immediately available.
The incident remains under investigation.
