49-Year-Old Joey Maes Killed In A Motor Vehicle Accident In Lubbock (Lubbock, TX)

A tragic motor vehicle accident unfolded in Lubbock on Monday, as a single-car collision claimed the life of a 49-year-old man. 

The Lubbock Police Department’s major fatal crash unit responded to the scene at Erskine St. and North Milwaukee Ave. after a report of a collision with injuries came in at 2:05 a.m. According to initial investigations detailed in an LPD news release, a passenger car was heading west in the 6500 block of Erskine St. when it veered off the roadway.

The vehicle subsequently collided with a wooden fence and rolled. The driver, identified as 49-year-old Joey Maes, was fatally injured and he was pronounced dead at the scene. The incident is under investigation by authorities.
