According to the California Highway Patrol, a 49-year-old driver was killed in a motor vehicle accident that took place in San Diego on Saturday. At around 12:45 a.m., Briana Michelle Contreras, driving a Honda Civic eastbound, rammed into a Nissan Kicks that was traveling westbound, near College Avenue.
The 49-year-old driver of the Nissan was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. Briana Michelle was arrested for DUI. The identity of the dead is not yet disclosed.
It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated. No further information is available at the moment.
