The Arizona Department of Public Safety reported a motor vehicle accident in Buckeye on Thursday morning. The accident occurred on State Route 85, near Souther Avenue just after 5:30 a.m.
According to the officials, two vehicles were involved in a collision. A car crashed into a truck. The force of the collision resulted in the car being pinned under the truck.
The driver of the truck was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. The officials have since identified the victim as 48-year-old Kimball Clark.
The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated at this time. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision. There are no other details available at this time.
