48-Year-Old Killed In A Pedestrian Accident In San Antonio (San Antonio, TX)

A tragedy struck on the Northwest Side Sunday night as a woman lost her life after being hit by a vehicle while crossing the street. The pedestrian accident occurred just after 11 p.m. in the 2500 block of Babcock Road near the Medical Center. 

According to police, the 48-year-old woman was crossing the street outside of a designated crosswalk when she was struck by a sedan traveling south on Babcock. The driver of the sedan remained at the scene until authorities arrived.

Despite efforts by emergency responders, the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

At present, the victim has not been publicly identified as investigations into the fatal crash continue.
