Officials identified 48-year-old Abraham Herrera as the man who lost his life following a rollover crash Tuesday evening in Lubbock.
As per the initial information, the fatal single-vehicle accident took place on Highway 84 at about 6:29 PM. The early reports showed that due to rainy conditions and stagnant water on the roadway, Abraham Herrera failed to maintain control of his Peterbilt truck while traveling in the eastbound lanes of Highway 84.
The truck swerved off the edge of the highway on the right hand side, flipped and ended up in the ditch. The man suffered major injuries and was declared dead at the scene by the officials. No other details are immediately available.
An investigation is continuing.
