47-year-old Stephanie Elizabeth Boulette died after losing control and crashing her vehicle into a tree (Escondido, CA)

On early Tuesday, 47-year-old Stephanie Elizabeth Boulette lost her life after her vehicle hit a tree in an incorporated area near Escondido.

Reports indicated that the woman was heading north on Bear Valley Parkway north of El Dorado Drive at about 3:45 a.m. Just then, her vehicle, 2004 Nissan Maxima, drifted left, ran off the road and crashed into a tree.

CHP officers and the Escondido Fire Department quickly responded to the crash scene. The woman reportedly succumbed to her injuries before being transported to a hospital. The woman was identified as Stephanie Elizabeth Boulette. Authorities stated that alcohol is believed to be involved in the accident.

The incident remains under active review.
