According to the California Highway Patrol, a fatal crash was reported on Thursday morning in Ukiah. Officials confirmed that one person died due to the motor vehicle accident.
Authorities stated that the collision occurred on Highway 253, east of Stipp Lane. The driver of a 2020 Honda Civic sedan crossed into the opposite traffic lane for unknown reasons. The sedan landed directly into the path of a 2020 Ford Ranger.
As a result of this, both vehicles struck one another. The driver of the Honda, a 47-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the victim has not been disclosed at this time.
Other insights pertaining to the accident are yet to be released. The crash continues to be investigated by the CHP.
