The Waco Police Department reported a single-vehicle accident that occurred on Saturday. The officials confirmed that one person died in the accident. According to the officials, the deceased victim was identified as 47-year-old Jeremie Simonsen.
Around 3:31 p.m., the crash happened at the northbound bridge of the Twin Bridges on Highway 6. A Chevy Silverado had hit the curb and overcorrected, causing the vehicle to hit both sides of the bridge.
The truck overturned and a man was thrown from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene
The authorities are still investigating the cause of the fatal crash. It is unknown whether alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision. There are no other details available at this time.
