According to the California Highway Patrol, a motor vehicle accident occurred in Oxnard on Sunday. The crash happened in the 2500 block of North Ventura Road at around 11:15 p.m.
According to the investigators, a 2002 Ford pickup truck and a 46-year-old were involved in the collision. The officials stated that the driver of the Ford pickup lost control and hit the center median.
A 46-year-old woman was identified as the Ford driver who suffered significant injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The Oxnard Police Department did not reveal the identity and the name of the unknown deceased person.
The cause of the accident is still being investigated at this time. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the accident. No additional information regarding the fatal crash was provided by the Deputies.
