The victim of a fatal traffic crash in the Acton area earlier this week has been identified as 46-year-old Thomas Fields. The motor vehicle accident occurred at approximately 6:50 a.m. on Wednesday on Santiago Road, located south of the Antelope Valley (14) Freeway, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Unfortunately, Fields was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. The circumstances surrounding the crash are currently under investigation. The events leading up to the crash are not entirely clear at this time. The officials have not reported if there were others injured in the crash.
Authorities are working diligently to gather information that will shed light on the factors contributing to this tragic fatal crash.
