According to the Washington State Patrol, a motor vehicle accident was reported on Friday morning.
The officials stated that the crash happened on the northbound Interstate 5 near the South 188th Street on-ramp.
Two vehicles collided and got engulfed in flames, stated the officials.
Investigation revealed that a wrong-way driver hit a 19-year-old Seattle woman at around 11 p.m.
Troopers extricated Shawn Oberback of Puyallup who was driving the wrong way. Shawn was transported to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle where he was declared dead.
The 19-year-old woman was pronounced dead by the Troopers.
The officials did not reveal the identity of the woman.
No additional information regarding the fatal crash was provided by the WSP.
