46-year-old Osvalde Hernandez Diaz and 56-year-old Tracy Popham injured after a crash on SR-28 (Quincy, WA)

On Monday, 46-year-old Osvalde Hernandez Diaz and 56-year-old Tracy Popham, from Clarkson, suffered injuries following a traffic accident on State Route 28.

As per the initial information, the two-vehicle crash took place on Road S Northwest. The preliminary investigation indicated that Diaz was driving an eastbound big rig on the freeway while Popham was driving her pickup behind Diaz. Osvalde was turning left onto Road S Northwest when the driver’s side of his big rig got hit by Popham’s pickup truck.

On arrival, emergency crews transported Osvalde to Quincy Valley Medical Center for treatment of his injuries. On the other hand, Popham was flown to Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane in unknown condition. Officials stated that Popham was following too close. Drugs and alcohol were not involved in the accident. No other details are available.

The crash remains under investigation.
