In a tragic motor vehicle accident, a motorist lost his life when his vehicle collided with a tree in Lakewood. The mishap occurred at the intersection of East Carson Street and Clubhouse Drive around 7:20 p.m. on Monday
The victim, identified as 46-year-old Joseph Mcconchie, who was homeless, was fatally injured. The Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner pronounced him dead at the scene.
Additionally, a passenger in the vehicle was rushed to a hospital, although their current condition remains undisclosed.
The circumstances surrounding the fatal crash are currently under investigation, as authorities work to piece together the events leading up to this fatal incident.
