The Scottsdale Police Department reported a motor vehicle accident on Friday. The accident occurred near Scottsdale Road and Gold Dust Avenue, just south of Shea Boulevard at around 7:45 p.m.
According to the officials, two people were killed in the motor vehicle accident. They have since been identified as 46-year-old Jana Hayden and her child.
The officials have not been able to report the number of vehicles involved in the collision. The events leading up to the crash are not yet known at this time.
The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated by the authorities. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision. There are no other details available at this time.
