A tragic collision in Tulare County is under investigation by the California Highway Patrol, resulting in the death of one person. The victim was identified as 46-year-old Eduardo Ramirez of Visalia.
The multi-vehicle accident occurred just before 6 p.m. on Tuesday near Road 92 and Avenue 260, just north of Tulare. Ramirez, the driver of a pickup truck, reportedly drifted into oncoming traffic on a curve, colliding with a car.
Both drivers were rushed to the hospital following the crash. Unfortunately, Ramirez succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead. The woman operating the car sustained minor injuries.
Authorities are actively working to ascertain the cause of the collision. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the fatal crash.
