In a tragic incident, one person lost their life in a fatal crash early Sunday morning, prompting an investigation by the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS). The multi-vehicle accident occurred on November 5 at midnight on I-35 northbound near mile marker 345.
According to Texas DPS, a semi-truck changed lanes and collided with another vehicle. This caused the vehicle to lose control and fatally crash into another semi-truck.
The driver of the vehicle, identified as 46-year-old Christena Monroe from Arlington, was rushed to Baylor Scott and White in Waco. Unfortunately, she succumbed to her injuries. Next of kin have been notified.
The investigation into the crash is currently underway as authorities work to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the tragic event.
