A tragedy struck in east Dallas early Tuesday morning when a high-speed collision resulted in the death of one woman and serious injuries to two men. The multi-vehicle accident occurred around 1 a.m. at the intersection of South Buckner Boulevard and Forney Road.
According to police reports, a Chevy Impala, traveling at an excessive speed, collided with another vehicle, causing it to flip. The woman in the overturned car, identified as 45-year-old Valerie Garcia, tragically lost her life at the scene.
Meanwhile, the two men in the Impala sustained serious injuries and were transported to the hospital for treatment, although their injuries were deemed non-life-threatening. Authorities are probing the possibility of street racing involvement in the fatal crash as investigations continue.
