The Nacogdoches Police Department reported a hit-and-run crash on Monday night. The accident happened outside Loop 224 in the 5000 block of South Street at around 11:30 p.m.
45-year-old Tyartrick Coutee was struck by a vehicle. Coutee was declared dead at the scene by the officials. The events leading up to the crash are not yet known at this time.
It is unsure what caused the crash and if drugs or alcohol were involved is it to be found.
As the investigation goes on, the involved car has not yet been found.
The fatal crash is being investigated by the officials. Additional details regarding the crash are not available currently.
