Officials identified 45-year-old Torrell Allen as the man who lost his life after being hit by a vehicle in Nashville while the driver of the involved vehicle fled the scene.

According to the investigation reports, Torrell Allen was crossing Gallatin Pike from east to west when he was struck by a 2013 Chevrolet Volt. The driver of the Volt informed the officers that he attempted to avoid hitting the man.
