According to the Yuba City Police Department, a pedestrian accident occurred in Yuba City that claimed the life of 45-year-old Rico Moreno on Wednesday.
The accident occurred approximately at 5:44 a.m., in the area of Stabler Lane, South of Poole Boulevard. A vehicle driven by a woman at high speed struck a man and left him.
The victim was fatally injured and was pronounced dead on site, the officers said. The officials have since identified the victim as 45-year-old Rico Moreno.
The officials have not disclosed any details regarding the vehicle involved. It is unknown whether alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated. No further information is available at the moment.
