The Texas Department Of Public Safety reported a motor vehicle crash on Tuesday afternoon. The accident happened on Interstate 20, 2.5 miles east of Baird At around 1 p.m. The collision involved only one vehicle.
The driver of a semi-truck was travelling east on I-20 at around 1 p.m., according to the Texas (DPS) crash report. The truck veered off the road and descended several hundreds of feet down a grass embankment. The driver cut through a barbed wire fence, trees, and a parallel access road.
The driver, Houston resident, Reym Hernandez, 45, was pronounced dead at the scene. He wasn’t using a seatbelt, according to Texas DPS.
The fatal crash is being investigated by the officials. There are no other details available at this time.
