The California Highway Patrol reported a pedestrian accident that claimed the life of a 45-year-old man in Riverside on Thursday. The officials have since identified the victim to be Patrick Glant.
Patrick Glant was walking on the westbound 91 at La Sierra Avenue when he was struck by a big rig. Glant was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. The vehicle that struck Glant is not yet identified.
It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated. No further information is available at the moment.
