According to the California Highway Patrol, a solo motor vehicle crash that took place in Piru, on Highway 126 killed a 45-year-old Sylmar man on Saturday.
At around 11:00 p.m., a man was riding his 1989 Toyota on the west highway. He veered off the road and struck a tree. As a result, the vehicle caught fire and the driver, who was trapped inside the car, was killed at the scene.
It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated. No further information is available at the moment.
