45-Year-Old Killed In A Pedestrian Accident In San Luis Obispo (San Luis Obispo, CA)

A tragic incident unfolded over the weekend as a man staying in a homeless encampment off Highway 101 in San Luis Obispo was killed after being struck by an alleged drunk driver. Jace Haro, 21, of San Luis Obispo, was driving a Dodge Challenger northbound on the highway when his vehicle drifted onto the right shoulder near Prado Road. The car collided with a light pole before hitting two individuals in the encampment.

One man, aged 45, suffered blunt force trauma and was pronounced dead at the scene. Another, aged 52, complained of arm pain. Haro, suspected of driving under the influence, was taken into custody. The deceased’s identity has not been released.
