Local police authorities reported a multi-vehicle accident in Kyle, Texas on February 2. The crash occurred on the I-35 Southbound frontage road at Kohlers Crossing around 11:51 p.m.
According to the reports, 45-year-old Sonja Marinkovic was allegedly speeding on wet roadways when her vehicle collided with the back of a Chevrolet passenger car. The impact caused the car to slide down the grassy median and come to a halt on the shoulder of the frontage road. The driver of the Chevrolet, 45-year-old Abdel Pastor, was fatally injured and pronounced dead after being transported to Ascension Seton Hays.
Following the fatal crash, Marinkovic displayed signs of intoxication and was arrested. She faces an intoxication manslaughter charge.
