44-Year-Old Woman Killed In A Motor Vehicle Accident In Oakland (Oakland, CA)

The Oakland Police Department reported a single-vehicle accident on Tuesday. 

The accident occurred in the 3800 block of Grizzly Peak Boulevard, west of Fish Ranch Road. It was reported at about 12:44 a.m. 

According to the officials, a vehicle was going east on the road when it lost control and went off the roadway. The car went down the embankment for some distance before finally coming to a rest. 

The driver, identified as a 48-year-old man, was not injured in the accident. 

The passenger, identified as a 44-year-old woman, incurred critical injuries and was pronounced dead. 

The officials have reported that the driver was arrested on the suspicion of vehicular manslaughter. They also suspect that the driver had been driving under the influence. 

The identities of those involved in the fatal accident have not been disclosed. 

There are no other details available at the moment.
