On Sunday, authorities confirmed that 44-year-old Wayne Marshall Jr died of injuries he suffered following a two-vehicle accident on Oct. 2, 2021 in an East Oakland neighborhood.
The fatal hit-and-run crash took place in the 8500 block of International Boulevard at 3:34 p.m. According to the investigation reports, the Oakland man was crossing the International Boulevard on a scooter when a vehicle hit him.
The vehicle left the scene after the collision. On arrival, medic rushed the scooter rider, identified as 44-year-old Wayne Marshall Jr, to a hospital. He was declared deceased at 11:57 a.m. Sunday. No other details are made available.
The incident remains under active review.
