44-Year-Old Rachel Butler Was Killed In A Motor Vehicle Accident In Abilene (Abilene, TX)

The Abilene Police Department reported a motor vehicle accident on Wednesday. The officials confirmed that one person died in the accident. According to the officials, the deceased victim was identified as 44-year-old Rachel Butler.

Around 5:46 a.m., the crash happened at the 4500 block of S. First Street. Rachel was struck by a GMC truck and she was then transported to a nearby hospital with critical injuries. 

According to the officials, the truck was driving eastbound when it hit Butler who was walking in the eastbound lane. After crashing into Butler, the vehicle then collided with a Dodge Charger, KIA, and Ford truck. 

The events leading to the collision are not yet known. The authorities are still investigating the cause of the fatal crash. It is unknown whether alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision.
