The Michigan State police reported a pedestrian accident on Sunday.
The officials reported that the accident occurred on the Lodge Freeway at 1.45 a.m.
According to the officials, the victim was walking across the road when he was hit by a Ford Fusion.
The officers located the pedestrian and pronounced him dead at the scene.
The identity of the victim has not been disclosed pending notification of the family.
The driver of the Ford Fusion remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. The officers have confirmed that alcohol does not appear to have been a factor in the fatal accident.
The crash is still being investigated by the officials.
