The Modesto Police Department reported a pedestrian accident last week. The accident occurred on College Avenue, near Bowen Avenue, in the evening.
According to the officials, a Honda Civic and a pedestrian were involved in the collision. The pedestrian was crossing the road when he was struck by the vehicle. He was critically injured and was rushed to a hospital for treatment.
Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries a few days after the accident and was pronounced dead. The officials had initially reported that there were chances for the victim to recover. The identity of the 44-year-old man has not been disclosed at this time.
The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated by the authorities. There are no other details available at this time.
