El Paso Police are seeking public assistance in identifying the driver responsible for a hit-and-run accident that resulted in the death of a 44-year-old pedestrian early Thursday morning, Feb. 29, on Spur 601 East.
According to authorities, around 5:41 a.m., officers responded to a report from a Border Patrol agent who discovered a body in the roadway while driving to work. The victim, identified as Lori Pollard, was struck by an unknown vehicle while on the right side of the road, police reported.
Investigators noted that a white box truck believed to be a potential witness, had stopped at the scene but left while the agent was directing traffic. The Special Traffic Investigations unit is actively probing this fatal crash, urging anyone with pertinent information to come forward.
