In a fatal crash last Friday, one man lost his life after colliding with a female driver in the 4900 block of Lake Shore Drive. He was later identified by the Waco Police Department as 44-year-old Kenneth Caufield.
The incident occurred around 3 p.m. when Caufield entered oncoming traffic. The female driver was heading west on Lake Shore Drive when she was hit. Caufield was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. She sustained injuries and was transported to the hospital but is expected to recover.
The police have not disclosed information regarding the reasons behind Caufield’s actions. The investigation into the fatal crash is ongoing, with authorities working to determine the circumstances leading to the tragic multi-vehicle accident.
